What is Orthodontics?
Orthodontics is the specialised branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis & treatment of problems caused by poor alignment of the teeth & jaws, and is carried out using different types of braces. Our practice specialises solely in Orthodontics.
Dr. Dan Counihan, Dr. Kate Counihan and Dr. Niamh McAuliffe are all Orthodontists.
An Orthodontist is a qualified dentist who has completed a further 3 years full time training on a recognised specialist training programme and is on the specialist register of the Dental Council of Ireland and may be a member of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland (O.S.I.) .
